Hello, I’m Sarah
If you’ve ever sat in a meeting thinking, “Why am I working twice as hard to be taken half as seriously?” You’re in the right place.
I spent over 20 years in the music industry.
I worked for major labels including BMG, Sony Music and EMI, before spending a further decade in music merchandise and business development across Europe, working with brands including Live Nation and Warner Music, and artists such as Harry Styles.
I was often the only woman in the room.
I know what that can do over time.
How capable women start second guessing themselves.
How they replay conversations afterwards.
How they hesitate in moments when they already know the answer.
That experience is a big part of why I do this work now.
I built my career in London, later lived in LA where I retrained as a coach, and now live in New York where I run my own coaching business.
I’m a certified, ICF accredited executive coach. My coaching space is inclusive, supportive, and welcoming of different identities, backgrounds, and ways of experiencing the world.
I work with women in music because it’s personal.
I know these environments. I understand the pressure, politics, pace and personalities.
I also know how much can change when a woman has the right space to think clearly, trust herself again, and move forward with proper support.
That’s the work I care about.
I also don’t believe it has to be serious all the time. There’s usually humour in the mix, because sometimes that’s exactly what’s needed.
Outside work, I value perspective: nature, live music, travel, good wine, and stepping back from the noise.
I also write Off The Record - I share honest reflections on the music industry.
