There’s Room For More than One Woman At The Top

Stop ranking women like it’s a sport.

After The BRITs, I saw Olivia Dean, RAYE and Rosalía constantly compared.

As if there’s only room for one.

That one woman shining means another must be dimmed.

“She’s more polished.”
“She’s more authentic.”
“She’s the real talent.”

They are different.
That’s the point.

They’ve all earned their place on that stage.

This habit of comparison doesn’t stop at award shows.

It shows up in music businesses too.

There is room for more than one woman at the top.

Always has been.
