Tasha Gregory

Agent & Co-Founder, Mother Artists

A moment in your career when you really backed yourself.

“Setting up Mother Artists (Live), Dec 2020, during Covid, backed by Artists, managers, family & friends. I remember crying day one because I couldn’t even set up my own email! I decided what success was for me and my family and went for it.

My mum said dad had always said ‘your gut is god’ which I use often in decisions. I’m really happy, with honesty & discipline at the forefront. I encourage everyone to believe in themselves in an industry that doesn’t always make you feel that way.

There’s no right or wrong choice, only a choice.”

One thing you’re proud of in your career.

“Including family in my business from day one.

My boys will both say I’m on the phone constantly (they are old enough to realise now), but we tell them they will always see me working as I have chosen to be present in their lives as much as possible. I sure as hell don’t have the balance right, but I want my kids to know they mattered.

I had them at the office with me, at panels and travelling the world at festivals, still do. I know that I will never regret having them with me. Life really is memories.”

Name another woman in music who inspires you, and why.

Ann Marie McCormack.

My assistant. She’s THE best and brings me (and others) joy and much laughter. She absolutely has my back, but more than that she is a good soul and incredible mother.

Having put others first always,  I can only hope that Mother Artists can be a space for her to be her best self. I’m inspired by her daily and privileged to work alongside her and can’t wait for all the joy to come.

Shout out to Bex Redwood, Sophie Roberts, Beck Nicholls, Lucy Bent, Mia Cook, Hannah Jackson, Kelly Chappel, Zena White, Sarah Page, Carly.”
