Jasmine Bodkin

VP, Executive Lead of Relationship Management,
The Orchard

A moment in your career when you really backed yourself.

“Throughout my career, backing myself has been a constant.

It meant overcoming a lack of diverse representation in leadership. Determined to prove myself in my early years, I balanced full-time work and family commitments while completing a three-year degree.

Despite navigating reorganisations, maternity leave challenges, and doubts about my introverted nature, I realised my identity as a female, mother, and person of colour is a strength.

Rather than stepping away, I made it my purpose to embody the value of diversity in thought and background.

Over two decades, I have built resilience, quietly achieved success, and demonstrated that diverse leadership drives meaningful impact.”

One thing you’re proud of in your career.

“My professional journey has been defined by collaborating on impactful campaigns and driving initiatives that promote an inclusive and equitable environment.

My purpose is to help shape meaningful change, positioning myself as a positive leader and an effective mentor to others.

Spanning Promotions, Marketing, Release Planning, and Label Management, my work has included campaigns with superstars like Beyoncé, Usher, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Jorja Smith, Raye, Robbie Williams, Calvin Harris, and One Direction.

As VP and Executive Lead, I look back with pride on my adaptability, tenacity, and ability to continuously grow and challenge myself through every industry evolution.”

Name another woman in music who inspires you, and why.

“Working alongside incredible women has always been a highlight of my career, and the strong female presence at my current company was a major draw.

How can I possibly choose one?

With that said, I want to highlight Pearl Moore, Head of Facilities at SME UK.

Having admired her for over 20 years, I deeply appreciate her grace, quiet authority, and flawless standards in a traditionally male-dominated field.

She is a true example of an altruistic leadership style that I also strive to emulate— a real inspiration.”
