STAY SAFE THIS PARTY SEASON

The music industry loves a party, but we don’t often talk about the journey home.

Last week, my phone was stolen around 10.30pm.

I wasn’t alone, and I was fine, but it reminded me how quickly our sense of safety can disappear.

So many women I know walk with keys between their knuckles, carry spray or alarms in their bag, or even pretend to be on a call. Small habits we’ve adopted to feel safer getting home.

Holiday party season is here. Whether you love a night out or would rather skip the whole thing, both choices are valid.

But if you do head out, please look after yourself and the women around you.

➡️ Share your location.
➡️ Text a friend when you’re home.
➡️ Walk each other to the taxi.
➡️ Trust your instincts.

A small practical tip is to carry one backup that isn’t your phone: a little emergency cash or one important phone number in your bag.

Fun and safety can exist together.

Here’s to joyful nights this Holiday season, real connection, and all of us arriving home with peace of mind.

If you have a safety tip that’s helped you, please share it. It might help another woman.
