WOMEN IN MUSIC ORG: UK LAUNCH

The Women in Music UK (re)launch sponsored and hosted by TuneCore in London last week was dreamy.

Neeta Ragoowansi, the Global Co-chair for WIM, introduced Trina Smith FRSA and Sarah Wilson FCIM as the two new UK co-chairs.  With Andreea Gleeson CEO of TuneCore, also in attendance.

The non-profit began in New York in 1985, and as a Brit now living in NYC, I’ve experienced first-hand the impact it has. From being a guest speaker as an Executive Coach for women in music on their Executive Hours, to attending events and connecting with other brilliant women. WIM has been a constant source of community and inspiration.

So, I’m thrilled it’s now launched in my home country, the UK.

To the women in music who are new to it - show up, get involved, volunteer, stay connected. Share ideas, host events, and support one another. Visit the website and have a look at what it can offer you, including a safe space initiative.

We always talk about wanting more community as women in music - well, this is your chance. Grab it with both hands!
