A moment in your career when you really backed yourself.

“I think I've always backed myself pretty hard.

I've changed countries twice name and changed jobs much more than that and almost every time I thought I believed in my ability to find a new role or opportunity even in situations where I quit a role before securing a new one.

I've always been a pretty anxious optimist and I think that has contributed to my career success.

Like "trust, but verify" but with my own career.”

One thing you’re proud of in your career.

“I created a free, global conference that ran for 6 years as a side project. It reached 10,000 people and I raised $150,000 in sponsorship revenue without compromising my ethics and integrity by have majority minority speakers in gender and race.

I enabled the career progress of hundreds of people and get to watch that legacy live on across the music industry.

I'll always been immensely proud of what I accomplished with Measure of Music.”

“ Kanya King, founder & creator of the MOBOs recently passed away and it's a devastating blow the UK and global music industry.

She was someone that had incredible ambitions that were always in service of Black music, people and culture and the UK music industry wouldn't have many of the global superstars it has today if it weren't for the support of the MOBOs to recognize their talent, give them grant support, and much more."
