A moment in your career when you really backed yourself.
“I back myself daily, I have to. Whilst I work with some incredible partners across some of my roster, for the most part I’m making decisions on my own, big and small.
Decisions that directly affect both myself and as importantly and more directly, the clients lives. So I need to be as sure as I can be every time. Sometimes it’s a risk. But always one I believe worth taking. .”
One thing you’re proud of in your career.
“I’m immensely proud of starting my business. It will be 10 years next year.
I really had no intention or desire to ever set up on my own. I worked with some incredible people throughout my career and I benefitted hugely from their mentorship and I loved being part of bigger teams.
But the universe presented me with a crossroad and I took a hard left. Sometimes I still can’t believe I did it. But here I am, all these years later.
What a trip.”
Name another woman in music who inspires you, and why.
“I have always made it my business to surround myself with inspirational women.
It’s an environment I was raised in and my norm so naturally seek it out on a day to day.
And I’ve been fortunate enough to find many in music across all stages and ages. And the fact of the matter is the relationship doesn’t have to be long or deep for it to be inspiring. It can be a word said or a small action.
So I guess my point is stand in your power ladies, you never know who you’ll inspire and what it’ll inspire them to do.”
